Im start with some detail so i have this tahoe since july of 2012 and it has went to limp mode once or twice for just a second then i would cycle the ignition and it would resort back to working and when i check my service engine light recently my code reader pulled shift solenoid b electrical but i erased it nd thought nothing more say about a month ago so i was out driving today i went 4 or 5 places and at the 4th one i went in got a hair cut came back out started normally then as i pulled out it had no power (limp mode) so i pulled over cycled the ignition same results still in limp mode then i drove to the store manual shifing between 2 and 3 so went in Walmart 20 mins came out truck drove normally but before i made it out of the parking lot it went 2 limp mode again any help?

The trans can do that if the power to the trans is lost, (had a 98 jimmy with a bad ignition switch act similar), if the PCM gets screwy, or if there is wiring issues...... Start backprobing the voltage drop across the ignition switch with truck running (better if it has been ran for a bit or acting up.).

Thanks for the info i ended up dropping the pan and replacing the shift solenoid b and replace the filter and gasket its all back okay now no new codes either but now i face another challenge my back window broke and i have the lift gate style not the double doors so im having a hell of a time finding one if you know where one is for cheap please help me out but other than thanks alot

Cool, let us know if your trans woe is gone...

About $200 on rockauto.com for the glass..... What does your local glass shop charge, junkyard?
