My husaband bought a '99 two-door Tahoe last week and this is his new baby. He went to the OU-Texas game this weekend and I was going to drive it to dinner with our teenage son last night. It started right up and we backed out of the driveway. When I put it in drive and pushed the accelerator, we went about 5 ft and the whole thing died! No power, no lights, nothing. My husband got new rear speakers and hooked one up right before he left for Texas but didn't have time for the other one. He didn't start it before he left. Do you think the new speaker blew a fuse or something?
Someone on another forum said it sounded like the Mega Fuse but I can't locate it under the hood. Is it in the fuse box or somewhere else? I would love to be able to fix this before he gets home tomorrow!
