ok I just turn this 99 Tahoe 2door 4x4 auto 5.7 into a plow truck last year. recently traveling on the highway ive been experiencing sharp bucking/hesitation like its running out of gas but its not mainly in overdrive. downshift seems to take the problem away but cant say for certain. the light has come on for that and I get all these codes C0235,C0226,C0222,Co281, P0161, P0300, P0304. it seems to only be happening on the highway. I think it came on when I was plowing but who knows whats triggering it and there so many different codes. I erased them all and they all came back I think all the same . does this truck have a speed sensor in the rear axle or t case or someone that needs to be check? what else should I test ? thanks

P0300 and p0304 are not good, P0161 relates to the catalytic converter performance on drivers side bank, and p0304 is cylinder 4 missfire (p0300 is random missfire), I suspect that you have something going on (missfire) and it is cooking off your cat on pass side.

CXXX codes I dont have a listing for..... Google...
C0235 Rear speed sensor open or grounded circuit (IIRC this is in transfer case.)
C0226 Missing LF speed signal
C0222 Missing RF speed signal
C0281 Brake Switch Circuit Stuck?

Sounds like you either have a bunch of odd codes all of a sudden or your ABS module took a crap on ya, check grounds good.....

well I think the misfire code is from plowing putting it under a load cause it has happened to a jeep of mine but all the other stuff idk lol

does this truck have sensors in the trans or t -case that could be the main cause

Shouldnt missfire under load. PCM should correct for load.

Tcase has several sensors in it. I dont think that is the issue tho...
