My 97 tahoe will crank but not start. No power to fuel pump and no spark. Checked the fuel pump relay, it has the constant power but no power when the key is turned over. I checked all the fuses, they're good. I checked power to the fuses ENG-1, ECM -1 and IGN-E. no power. IGN-A has power. checked power to the crankshaft position sensor, no power. Checked for power on the pink wire from the ignition switch, no power. Any ideas? this is cutting into my hunting time!
thx

Red has constant power, white only has power when the key is on. No power at all to pink. From what i've seen on the net, white (ign2) and pink(ign1) only have power when the key is on. I jumped from the red wire to the pink but it still didn't start and the fuel pump didn't activate.

White, pink need power when key is on all the time even durring crank, yellow is crank, orange and brown both power after crank for accessories AFAIK. But if what you have described, it needs a switch plain and simple..... may need other things..... but start there...
