i want to start tuning it for the street
nothing to fancy or expensive yet
i was thinking exhaust, intake, suspension, chip an eventually supercharger.
does anyone have any ideas or tips for where to start or possible options or issues i may have?

Not sure if supercharger falls into the category of not-fancy or not-expensive :)

Maybe start with the breathing end of it. Cold air intake, then headers, hi flow cats and maybe 2.5 or 3" exhaust.

For a sleeper I would go 6.0 with long tubes.

Long tubes and 2 1/2 exhaust with a good tune might get you to 250 horse to the ground on the 5.7

You said sleeper which kind of turns me away from the 5.7

6.0 is a newer truck engine very easy and cheap to get to the 500hp number. Gm rates them at 345hp 380 lb-ft. This family of engines(4.8,5.3,6.0 6.2) loves boost and very easy to tune.

Long tube headers flow better than shortys no matter what engine they are on.

As for CAI I would stick with a dry filter one.
