I just bought a 95 tahoe 4wd with the 5.7 tbi and im having alot of issuses trying to get it running right with that being said it idles rough as all get out and is sucking so hard through the throttle body and bogs out it has no power at all ive checked the egr by undoing the vaccum hose and plugging the hose like my mechanic told me to ive changed the plugs wires and the fuel filter in the frame rail. Anyone have any idea what the problem is please let me know or any leads on where to start next

Check the TBI base gasket.

Check for Vac booster hose/ ck valve/ booster leak.

Check EGR valve. If it is aftermarket, it is probably bad. I would rather have a bad OEM valve than most NEW aftermarket ones..... Pull valve off and cut a new gasket out of the side of a pop can with the flat hole blocked off (to eliminate the EGR), run test again, this will tell you if EGR is bad.... (weak spring letting exhaust in to foul running of engine.)
