95 tahoe mass air flow

hey does anyone know if a 95 tahoe 350 have a mass air flow unit in it?? i jsut dropped a motor in my tahoe and theres this one connector thats not plugged in.. i was thinking it was the mass air flow, or could it be for 4 wheel drive since i dont have 4 wheel drive??? does anyone know what this could be?? if a picture would help of the connector let me know.. thanks

The 95 doesn't have a mass air flow sensor, you've got a throttle body FI. The Vortec motors have the MAF's i believe.

well that helps somewhat.. so its not MAF.. does anyone know what it does, is??? could it be for the 4 wheel drive then? or jsut an important connector thats not plugged in.. hehe.. imean it runs fine and everything i was jsut seeing what the hell that thing is.. well maybe ill jsut tuck it away and no one will see it

my 95 yukon don`t have that connector is this motor out of a 94?
but if no check engine light comes and runs good like you said

You sir are correct. TBI engines do NOT have MAF's, but Vortec's do. I do not know what that connector is for, but I can look at my 94 K1500 oon wednesday. As long as the temperature outside is above 10 degrees F. I would go outside tonight and look, but it's hovering just above zero out there.

It could be for the 4 wheel drive, But it also kinda looks like it plugs into the distributor. It's tough to tell though.

haha thanks mike.. lol.. ahh yeah the motor wouldnt have anything to do with it since its in the wiring from the 95 tahoe.. i never touched the wiring.. but i went to the junkyard a month ago and that same wire ran down the firewall and looked to be plugged into something else, but who knows.. just asking.. but thanks for everyones help.. ill hide it and pretend i never saw it.. lol.. and im quite surprised on my hoe that no accidents or anything happened to it since that guy was giving away free carfaxs.. im the third owner which aint to bad for 87,xxx miles on her..
