Idles from 900 to 1100 all the time . replaced IAC and temperature sensor and tps.I have no vacuum leaks. When I place my finger over the IAC hole inside the throttle body the engine will idle at 650.Is there something I'm missing that would tell the computer the engine is still cold.On rare occasions intermittently it will idle fine

Check for a blown TBI base gasket, a leaky EGR valve, leaky brake booster (vacume Leak)....

Yes I have...no vacuum leaks....I'm beginning to think it's the connector because after I took out the iac and put it back in it seems to work intermittently and surges on occasion like there is a short either at the connector or it is grounding out.Whats really odd tho is that after I pressure washed it that's when it began to idle at 650.

Could just be a bad IAC valve, might put a dab of bulb grease on the contacts for the IAC.

I pulled the connector apart and spread open the prongs a little to much sure I had a good connection and it seems to be working so far

Ok so the mystery has been solved
....the aftermarket tps I replaced before I replaced the iac valve seems to either be the wrong one or junk part.I decided to put the original tps back in and all my problems went away....no more high idle...smoother shifts and no more shifting in and out of overdrive. .......I am beginning to be a believer that cheap parts are not always best
