4WD HELP

has anyone experienced the "service 4wd and stability system disable" light on come on the instrumental cluster? at one point the light on 2hi was on then switched to 4lo. i had to turn the truck off then start back up to get back in 2hi. could this be a problem with the switch or more of a dealer repair job.

I just started having the same problem.

The first time it shifted itself into 4 low???
I had turn the truck off and back on to and then hit the 2 hi button to get it out of 4 low.

Now every few day the SERVICE 4WD light comes on. If I restart the truck it will reset itself.

Any ideas?

4wd switch!

the problem is the 4wd switch:thumbsup:. it happen to my hoe. get new switch, its only about 65.00 at the dealer. easy to install.

I am having the same problem with my 2006. I have replaced the switch and thought I was good to go. Three days later, that d*** light came on again. Any thoughts, experts??

4wd Switch Or Module??

If the new switch didnt work for you the other option is a bad module for the 4wd. its located behind the 4wd switch. expensive at dealer, changed my from the junck yard 125.00 3years ago still good!! any good mechanic will know if its the module or switch, you dont have to go to the dealer and get robbed without a gun!!! good luck!!
