Hi all.
2003 Tahoe...125k mi.
I had a weird thing happen today and dont know if its a sign of bad things to come. I was in 2 Hi and parked the vehicle, turned it off and came out like 30 minutes later. I started it and the 4 Lo light was blinking. I'm hardly ever in 4 Lo so I dont think I bumped anything exiting the car. Any way, I tried putting it in 2 Hi and would do anything accept blink. So I tried 4 Auto, 4 Hi and nothing. I then put the car in Neutral, pressed the 4 Lo button and felt a slight bang under the car. It stopped blinking...I put it back in Park and hit the 2 Hi button, felt another slight bang...and it stayed in 2 Hi. I drove for about 40 mins home with no problem. Got back in it later and everything was normal.
Any ideas on what happened or what may be going on? There was no SERVICE 4WD message on the DIC, either. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
