I've got a 01 Tahoe 2wd 5.3L that I bought at an auction. Drove fine when I test drove it, then it started slipping in 2nd gear, so I checked the fluid and it was in need of being changed and it was very overfilled. I just had a new filter and fluid done today and it's still slipping/hesitating in 2nd gear. Drives fine after it gets out of 2nd and has no issues when it's gearing down. What are my options? Should I take it to someone who can rebuild it? Or is there a selenoid problem causing it to slip? Maybe an additive I can use to buy some time? Any help would be appreciated!!
