A seal on my ALC failed and before I could get it to the shop, so did the compressor as it remained on trying to level the vehicle. The shop wants $1000 for diagnosis and OEM repair assuming the compressor is bad. At the same time, the ride of the vehicle is getting worse since I have over 100k miles. I want to know if I should upgrade shocks and/or suspension and in by doing so could eliminate the need to fix the ALC. If folks are recommending upgrading, I would be interested in specific products. Thank you.
