2015 Tahoe/Yukon Head Rest removal?

Anyone know how to remove the 2nd row headrests in a 2015 Tahoe/Yukon? I know GM says they are not adjustable or removable, but there has to be some way as they are a separate item from the seat and I don't think they upholstered the seat after installing the headrest.

A similar "push button" release as earlier models is under the seat cover material, there is one on each post and pushes in from the left to the right (on the left side of each post). Why the heck GM did this is beyond me. Guess in makes it easier for the robot to put the seat cover on! At any rate they are out!
