Recently the navigation unit in my 2010 Tahoe started having issues. Specifically, 1) it no longer displays the street name I'm currently driving on at the bottom of the screen and 2) the red arrow that shows my heading takes anywhere from a few seconds to >1 hour to point in the right direction. In one instance, it was telling me that I was driving in reverse down an interstate for over an hour.

Regarding the latter example, once I stopped or slowed down the issue seemed to resolve itself. I assume this is because the GPS had time to figure out where it was pointing. It was still a bit disconcerting.

Has anyone else had issues like this? I'd like the street name to start displaying again if possible and would like to know what's up with my GPS. I've looked for a way to "reset" the unit but can't find anything.

Thanks.

I'm not sure this is the answer, but your version of the software is now 3 years old unless you updated your disk. This may be the problem or part of the problem. Just an idea....

I don't think it's the disc because before a few weeks ago everything was working fine. The GPS unit seems to be a bit unresponsive in terms of aiming the red direction arrow in my true heading (even though the compass readout on the dashboard works perfectly) so that's what I think the root cause is.

Also, when the GPS works, everything about the navigation is fine with the exception of not showing the name of the street I'm on. That's why I thought maybe I pressed something that removed that info from the screen. I looked through the manual but couldn't find anything.

Thanks.
