Hey Guys,

New member here, hopefully a long time member.

Looking at purchasing a 2009 White Tahoe Hybrid.

We are located in Los Angeles, California, so I already know, we will likely be paying a premium over the rest of the company.

My business is moving across the country in about 3-4 weeks. We currently own an Acura RDX and Mazda 6. 1 paid off, the other we still owe on. We will be trading both in to consolidate. We only need 1 vehicle, and it will REALLY come in handy.

Anyways ... We are wanting a white 2009 hybrid. Our nearest dealer is Rydel and they have 4 of the exact same white hybrid. Sticker is I believe $52,500, and they were offering it at $49,2xx @ 0% APR for 60 months OR $46,500 with rebates (but not 0%)

Hoping, someone has some guidance. Would love to be able to shoot for $45K with 0% APR or even better for that matter. Not sure if that is even possible or reasonable.

Any help would be great guys!

Thanks,
CaSH

If you look around you can get a way better deal than that, possibly down to around $44000 for equally equipped vehicles if the derler is really negotiable, which most are considering GM's conditon.
Look around some more and you'll find better!

Hey Nnaboy,

Thanks for the response. I have emails in to several dealership internet sales departments, and so far, that is the best deal on the table.

Like I said ... California in general, we always seem to pay a premium for :(

With that said ... Anyone else have any more advice or anything I can bring to the table with the guys? Anyone happen to Work or know someone that works for GM here in So Cal (San Diego to Santa Barbara) that can get us a killer killer deal?

thanks! :)

You might remind them that they need to, uh, sell vehicles!!!! I know California is the land of fruits and nuts, but!!! That is a crazy price in any land. I'd buy a regular Tahoe and buy gas with the difference for a long time. I have seen them for 10K off to start. You might start by saying that while the two-mode is an engineering success it has been a marketing failure. No one is buying them. If they help you get one on the road then they might actually sell more later on. Be willing to walk away if they don't come down.:cool2:

Thanks rs ...

Just got some more quotes from other local dealers ... News is quite depressing ...

It's my pleasure to submit a price quote on the vehicle you requested :

MSRP $ 53,695.00
Internet special price $ 50,328.00
Less rebate $ 3,000.00 or 0% apr

Your net price $ 47,328.00 plus tax and license

and

Option 1:

MSRP $53695.00

Wm L Morris Price: $51028.75 + fees

GM Rebates - $3000

Net to You: $48028.75 plus fees

-OR-

Option 2:

MSRP $53695.00

Wm L Morris Price: $51028.75 + fees

0% for 60 months

At these prices ... I'm thinking the Tahoe Hybrid my not be in my future ...

Even if I put sales agent up against sales agent, I highly doubt I will see anything below $48.5k :(

If you are not set on a 2009, you can find 2008 Hybrids at KILLER prices...around $37k or better!

O ... we are not 100% set on a 2009 or even brand new. We would mind a used/new 2008/2009. Its just a matter of finding them ....

Help? :mpr:

Check out ebay and Autotrader. Obviously you need to compare options, but an alternative is to buy a cheap ticket to Phoenix or Vegas and drive it home. Here's one in Texas in your price range but it's RWD so not sure if that is what you are looking at. Seems like your deal at $46K with no special interest is consistent even outside of CA, unless you were looking at a 4WD then your deal is actually pretty good.

Here's a brand new fully loaded hybrid with 4 wheel drive. Sticker at $56.5K and ebay price almost at $53K, so not a huge discount even in Missouri.
