Hi all new to the forums and hopefully a new owner as well of an '08 LTZ. What brought me to the the site is your valued opinions. This '08 has pretty high mileage (86k). Vehicle is in excellent condition cosmetic wise, but being new to the Tahoe community is 86k a reason to walk away from this vehicle?

Thx

It depends on the price they'd accept and if the owner really took care of it mechanically.

I'd want to look at a Carfax report, all the maintenance records and before pulling the trigger I'd also want to take it to a mechanic, who's familiar with Tahoe's, for a full inspection.

FYI, I'm going to assume that the previous owner put a lot of highway mileage on it, which imho is a heck of a lot better than a lower mileage one, that's only been driven for short city trips.

In other words; if it's been properly taken care of. and you continue that. there's no reason that you shouldn't be able to put on at least another 100K trouble free miles.

Makes sense thx for the input. Carfax checks out and it does appear that these are highway miles. I am planning on putting an extened warranty on the vehicle to be on he safe side.

So did you end up getting it? What warranty did you get? And if u don't mind... How much did you end up paying? I have a 2008 and it had 64k on it when I bought it last year. It now has 87k and no issues. I bought the extended "new car" warranty. That takes me to 100k. Looking at other warranty options for when I hit that 100k mark!
