Hello All,

This is my first post on the forums, hopefully you all can help me! I searched if there were any prior posts addressing the "chirping" noise but didn't really find a solution.

The "chirping" usually can be heard for around 30 minutes and is extra loud on cold mornings. I can hear it when the truck is idle and driving.

I took it to the dealership and they said they couldn't "replicate the noise" so I decided to capture it on video to send them: http://youtu.be/XVmncFqURWw

I figure before I send it to the dealership, I'll get the some advice from the real experts!

Thanks in advance, this has been going on for a couple of months and driving me crazy.

Put some silicone grease on the inner and outer side of the belt don't need to cover the whole belt just like 2 to 3 inches of it once you start it it will spread out evenly you also want to make sure you dont have any coolant leaks from the water pump area if coolant is leaking it gets on the belt causingthe belt squeak only chances are it go wet just from driving thru water puddles

Thanks Rocken! Unfortunately Im not that efficient with cars so I dont know if I can do that....but I'll definitely try! Anything to not take it back to the dealership where everything is $1,000 +

If I cant, do you recommend a shop like Firestone or Pep Boys?

Its easy as putting butter on toasted bread.. go to the autoparts store and tell them that you need some silicone grease.. put some on your 2 fingers index and middle and just spread it on the belt its that simple
