2008 LTZ outside door handle pulled off

i went to open the driver side door and the whole bracket seperated from the door. Sometimes if i don't pop it back in, I can't open it from the inside, and now the electronic door lock wont lock/unlock. my first time buying american and i'm starting to regret it. Can i fix this myself or do i need to bring it in?

Just purchased a 2007 from a dealership with handle broken. They said this was a defect and they had to purchase a special part and replace the bolts inside... seems to be a known issue by the dealership

It's a common problem and there's a youtube video on how to replace the outside door handle...it's a known weak part.

To removethe window motor,Using a common screw driver go around the panel prying out the clips that hold the panel on.Be careful not to pull clip out of panel.The motor may have pop rev.or bolts holding it in.

I have had all of my door handles replace 4 times, each time I went to the dealer and complain about and each time they replaced for free.
