2007 denali wont turn over

i have 2007 denali and a month ago i went to start it and all the lights were on and dash light and radio but did not even try to crank. left came back later and started perfect and has for month talked to local dealer and sadi cant fix unless it not starting. it has been perfect till today and it did it again, full light radio arm and disarm locks light but tun key and doesnt even try to start. i called local and said prob bad battery bring that in did thaqt they tested it and said it tested good but may have loose plate causing this. took back reinstalled same story not turning over. it is out of warranty on millage. any ideas local said tow it to them and they would try to figure it out? didnt sound to promising

Maybe the neutral safety switch? Try jiggling the gear selector around when it happens.

Thanks for the response Warren, I tried that after your suggestion,still didnt work even pushed the vehicle forward and backwards in neutral with no success. after about 100 atempts to start my truck it worked without doing anything. i started it over and over and it was perfect. i gave up and took it to the dealler this afternoon. i am not sure whaat they are doing or what it is going to cost me, but at this point all they have is so far everything is checking out. i can not be left stranded somewhere and still have not found what is going on. thaanks again for any help

I have the same problem did u ever fix this? all lights are on the shifter line does not indicate what position the shifter is in. nothingelse works except the battery gauge rpm, speedo, temp nothing car will not try to crank.

Could be a dead spot on the Starter. I had one a long time ago that did something similar. When it happened, I rotated the starter by pulling on the belts then trying again. I finally just replaced the starter once i figured out what it was.

Is the security light illuminated and or the lock icon on ipc ? If so you have a vehicle theft deterant issue.. or it may also bethe Body Control Module either way its a dealer repair only due to the programing that needs to be performed once the modules are replaced

Could be a dead spot on the Starter. I had one a long time ago that did something similar. When it happened, I rotated the starter by pulling on the belts then trying again. I finally just replaced the starter once i figured out what it was.

Usually the starter will still make a click.

Is it clicking or not doing anything. Is your gear indicator working correctly? Could be the starter relay, connection problem (fuse, relay, possibly starter) or wiring. Like rocken said, does your security light come on?
