Hello all,
Ive started a search for a 2005 or 2006 Z71 Tahoe. Basically Ive chosen the year due to some general consumer reports ratings that said out of the 2001 to 2006 models the 2005 and 2006 have fewer major issues.
I also like the Z71 package since I will be using the truck to pull a small camper and also to get to a beach house thats 12 miles up the sand with no pavement so towing setup and suspension are key. Its also easier to compare Z71 trucks with each other for the best value and not get caught up in the whole LS, LT etc varied packages.
Two questions:
1. Is there anything of great difference between the two years (good or bad) that would push you in any direction? On the surface there doesnt seem to be.
2. The GM version Yukon only seems to have the Denali package which doesnt seem comparable to the Z71 (all glitz and no mechanical changes except for the larger engine).
Any help is appreciated
