I have a 2004 Z71. I was just looking at replacing the shocks and trying a couple on-line parts places. One of the sites asks if I have the Zw7 premium ride smooth suspension or not. I have never heard of that before. Can someone enlighten me or tell me if that means Z71? (I'm also interested in any comments on what aftermarket shocks are closest to the factory ride I've been used to...)

Welcome to the neighborhood!

The sites are referring to the autoride system. It is an air ride system that you would not have on a Z71. As for shocks, we offer Bilsteins, Pro Comp Rancho and a few others. But for the money being spent, my money goes to Bilstein and Rancho right now. Bilsteins are a little higher priced, but are GREAT shocks for replacing the stock ride shocks, as are the Ranchos.

That being said, Rancho is now offering a 90 Day Free Ride warranty where you order them and ride them for 90 days and if you are not 100% satisfied you return them with no questions asked. Along with that promotion they are also offering a mail in rebate promotion, I have placed links below to the promotions so that you can read about both of them.

My name is Chris and I am a site Vendor here to help you save money while offering true support and customer service over and beyond the regular 9-5.

Thanks for the information. Being that I am in Alberta, the duty fees coming across the border usually kills me unless I order thru Ebay. But I will have a look for Bilsteins locally.
