2004 Tahoe Stereo Upgrade to use ipod & blue tooth cell

Well I inherted son my my wife's '04 Tahoe. I bought her ea new Malibu and sold my '02 Blazer. I wanted to up grade the stereo. I have the bose factory stereo with onstar and xmradio .I use the onstar mainly for telephone calls. XM Radio isn't subscribed to. I wouuld like to be able to use my 3rd gen ipod touch and my blue tooth cell phone thru the onstar system. Any advice? I have spent hours going thru these forums. Thanks in advance.

There are many aftermarket stereos to choose from that have both features built into them. They have both Ipod controls as well as Blutooth capabilities.

Stereos range in price from good better and best and can get as pricey as you allow it to.


www.Crutchfield.com is a good place to start as they have allot of knowledge on systems and how to's. You dont necessarily have to buy there, but they have allot of the latest in car audio technology and technical data.

Thanks, I looked there yseterday evening. Nice site. I was wanting to keep my steering wheel controls. I looked and wow did I see some prices. Was hoping someone would jump in and say this is what I did.

You CAN keep your steering wheel controls as well. That same site sells a Module that allows you to keep your steering wheel controls with aftermarket stereos. here the link for those
