Hello all. Newbie to the forums.
I bought a 2004 Tahoe this past week and discovered that only hot air blows out of the rear vents. Upon investigation, I ordered the control module because that is what everyone recommended. Well, I removed the panels and removed the heat/cool door actuator to find that there is no shaft sticking from the box for the actuator to turn. I'm assuming that it broke and fell inside or someone has been fiddling with it before me. I have ordered the new evaporator box and it should be here this week and will send the new module that I ordered back if everything goes well.
Has anyone ever replaced this thing? I've watched a few youtube videos but they don't really show how hard it is to remove and transfer everything from the old box.
