How's it going everyone. First of many posts here on this Forum.
I am looking in to replacing all my shocks on my 2003 LS. I am wanting to achieve a nice smooth ride. It never goes offroad. Every once in a blue moon will I tow something. Other than that I just want a smooth ride. Which Shocks should I go with? I keep hearing Bilstein HD shock's, but most of those vehicles were autoleveling rigs. Mine is not.
Just some background on the Rig;
It has been lowered 2"-3" using McGaughy's suspension parts; spindles up front (did not mess with the torsion keys) and springs in the rear with shock extenders with monotube shocks from (bell tech I think). As a side note I do remember cutting approximately 2 bellows or 2 ripples off the bump stops in the front. I believe it actually rides on the bump stop. I remember experimenting with stock height bump stops, No bump stops at all, and the cut bump stops. and we found the cut bump stops gave us the better ride.
Thanks Guys.
