2002 Tahoe Stock Exhaust

I was measuring my muffler the other day so i can order a Magnaflow and I realized that it was single in dual out and then went back into a y-pipe and came out single again! Is this like most of your guys, or not. And do I need a single in Dual out muffler or just single in single out??

i have an 02 too and im just wondering on why they would make the muffler dual outlet and then a y pipe into 1 again...

That's the way they are. 1 in 2 out. I changed mine entirely from the cat back with a Magnaflow system for about $450.
