I need help trying to understand what I need to do. I have a 2001 Tahoe i wouldn't trade for the world! It has just over 150k miles but is in need of new shocks. I had new front shocks put on this week but was told the rear shocks were not standard shocks. I don't think they are air ride because I don't think they are talking air compression or auto lifting. The shocks at Advance Auto were by Monroe and they were $484 each? Ouch! This was the only option is what I am being told. Does anyone have any suggestions on a if this is true is there a cheaper option or a way to convert to standard shocks. I hate to cheapen my ride but 900 to fix rear shocks is a little rough for me. Any ideas or comments are appreciated.
Thank you!
