The Temp and compass function of my rear view mirror is intermittent. Any info from past experience would be greatly appreciated. Is this common ? I'm new to the forum. Thanks in advance. BBC

I know when mine gets cold the gauge kinda freaks out but any other time it works fine. I dont know if this has to do with your problem or not.

I have the opposite problem. When the weather is hot it doesn't work at all. When the weather is below approx 65F it will work for about 15 min and then quit. I suspect that the circuit board has cracked from being exposed to excessive heat (Az and Fresno) for several years. When the board warms up it expands and the ground circuit goes open from possibly being cracked. I haven't tried to take it apart but I'm about to. Maybe I'll find something obvious wrong with it like a loose connection at the circuit board connector. I'll probably end up buying a new one. Thanks for responding. BBC in Vegas

I know the thread is old, but just wondering if you were able to open it up and fix it or had to replace the whole mirror?
