2001 Tahoe instrument panel problems

I have a 2001 Tahoe the instrument panel works for a while than shorts out. The battery light, security light, abs light come on and the gas gauge, temp gauge stop working. Also the shift indicator lights up but does tell you what gear your in. I changed out the panel with one from my buddies 01 Yukon the same thing happen and mine worked in his Yukon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

sorry this thread was missed when you originally posted the problem, but that doesn't sound like a cluster issue. That sounds like an ignition or body control module issue.

Did you ever get this fixed? I have a 2002 with lights staying on for no reason and the odometer not coming on.
