Hi,

I have a 2001 tahoe 4wd. We started hearing some whining / roaring sounds when driving and noticed the noise went away when turning right and was more pronounced turning left. I lifted the passenger side tire and noticed some play on the tire so I assummed passenger side hub bearing and I replaced it with a precision 515036. Now we have no play.

I took it out on the road and I still have noise but not as bad and it still goes away when turning right.

What else can it be? What should I check next?

Thanks in advance.

I am wondering is a 4wd differential would make this same kind of noise and have scenarios where the noise will stop or reduce when turning one way.
