I got a 2001 Denali. It seems to be leaking engine oil to the rear of the oil pan on both sides. It has residue where the oil cooler lines are at, by the drain plug, under the bell housing and around the starter. Also, I noticed there was some antifreeze on the right side axle towards the right front of the motor. I can't see any signs of the water pump or thermostat leaking. Does anybody know where either of these could be leaking from?

With the oil leak I would bet that it is the oil pan, but an easy way to find out is to go to the auto parts store and ask them for some leak detection dye to add to the oil. Add it and run it up the street and back and then check back under/around the engine with a florescent light to see where the source of the leak is.

As for the Antifreeze, I would double check the hoses going to and from the engine and pay close attention to the coolant overflow tank. Check the bottom of it out for residue, I have seen those tanks form slow leaks.

Hope this helps a little.
