Hi everyone, wanted to get some opinions on my 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Got about 190,000 miles. The electronics to the sun roof and the indoor lights burnt out-- had to fix that. Battery had to be replaced. There is also a leak in the oil pan (?), which is not detrimental, however yet another liability. NOW i'm looking at another fix for the water pump, which apparently is leaking.

Overall a fantastic car, lots of good road trips and memories in that Bra-hoe. Runs fine overall, given the issues listed. However with all the cost of repairs now building up, i'm considering finally selling my baby and moving on.

Thoughts?

Be thankful it's not the transmission, transfer case, rear differential or other major mechanical system. If any of those words scare you, you may want to upgrade to a newer model year. Just remember as only you know how well you did our didn't maintain the Bra-ho, you'll be at the mercy of the person selling your next one to you! Try to find a one owner, preferably a hypochondriac that took it to a shop so records will be on file. Good luck!
