i have a 2000 yukon and in the morning when it is cold when shifting from 1st to 2nd it hesitates more than usualy, araound 3000 rpms and 35 - 40 mph it shifts, sometimes it bangs into gear sometimes it shifts smoothly. once the truck is warmed up it shifts perfectly normal again. Anyone?? :mad2:

I'm assuming you've check the fluid color & level -- when was it last changed (i.e. how many miles)?

It might not be an issue at all - I think every GM vehicle I've driven since I was 16 has done that when it's cold.

Could just be the combination of old fluid and the fact that it's cold. I would change the fluid anyway just because of the mileage.

I have the same trouble, although i have high mileage (200,000 +) with original trans. so that will have an affect on it. but check your trans fluids along with the temps to make sure there in safe operating levels.
