I just bought a 2000 Tahoe Limited about a week ago. I'm here to find out what some of the potential problems are that I might run into so that I can take a proactive approach and possibly avoid some catastrophic occurrences. So far it running pretty good. I had one little mishap with the hood release cable breaking, but should have that taken care of shortly.
One none life threatening issue I have is that the previous owner probably had his own audio system installed and removed before I received the Tahoe and the CD player doesn't work and the Ac control unit is a little loose in the dash.
The previous owner has kept it running with synthetic oil which I suppose has it's advantages and disadvantages, like the the cost of an oil change ($9:00 per quart) but, hopefully it will give me longer life.
At any rate, any input from seasoned Tahoe owners would be appreciated!
