2000 escalade won't crank but battery is good

When turning ignition on to crank nothing happens. When turning key to start, I can hear relay and fuel pump click. Also can hear click at starter. Battery is good. I've tried the passlock reset a couple of times. I've disconnected and reconnected the battery terminals. I've replaced a broken braided ground line on passenger side of motor down low under manifold. I tapped on starter when turning key to start. Still won't turnover at all. I recall something like this happening a year ago but it went away. Any ideas or similar situation that was resolved?
