200 rpm jump

Hey how's it goin.....my 98 Tahoe recently started jumping up 200 rpms between 40-60 mph jumps up then back down but if I accelerate it stops and at 65mph it stops any info would be great...thanks

It sounds like the throttle position sensor may be going out.
