I think the fuel pump in my 1999 Yukon is going bad. I hear a whine and my gas gauge needle is doing the shimmy. I read a couple of posts that recommend only going with and AC Delco unit. However, when doing a search I see what appear to be 3 different types of pumps modules out there.
#1. Square electrical plug connector. AC Delco MU1777
#2. Retangular with rounded ends and requires cutting the old plug.
#3. Square fitting, with additional black connector on top. Possibly fuel vapor pressure sensor. AC Delco MU1746 (I think)
I really would like to have my pump on hand to do that job, rather than drop the tank and try to find the proper module.
Which module is proper for my vehicle, and does not involve cutting the old plug off?
Are the Bosch units decent if I can't locate an AC Delco?
