1999 Tahoe - reverse lights not working

I recently went online and bought replacement brake lights with reverse light built-in installed them reverse lights do not work don't know if they work before I bought the new lights any help ??

Well actually they are brand-new break and reverse taillight it's one complete unit I pulled them back off all the bulbs are brand-new brake lights work blinker works on my fuses are good . Did a little research online learned about a backup switch it's located on my transmission going to check that next

I was wanting to verify if we had reverse power to the tail light with the testlight, if not there, then troubleshoot wiring back to switch on transmission.

Ok. I had no power at reverse lights. Found a switch mounted on transmission ( neutral/back up switch. Replaced and everything working fine.. Thanks for ur help
