1999 Tahoe 4x4 crate engine part number?

I'm getting conflicting part numbers for a direct drop in crate motor for my 1999 Tahoe 4x4. I'm wondering what the right GM part number is. The 8th letter in my VIN is R

The two part numbers that different shops have told me:

12499529
12530282

Any help?

Use the 12530282 motor. It has the Vortec heads, roller valvetrain, and one-piece rear main. This should be the direct replacement for your model. The other motor uses older style non-vortec heads and a flat tappet cam, and isn't as emissions friendly.
