Ive got a 1999 Tahoe Lt 4x4...When its in park it "shudders" so to speak. Hooked it to the comp and it showed 22 codes... All were O2 sensor codes from all 4 sensors. It also showed a Mass Air flow sensor code as well. Would replacing the Mass air flow sensor get rid of most the O2 codes?

There are a couple of different things that cause those codes to come up. I'm assuming somewhere in the mix there was probably a random misfire code? If so, you might actually be looking at a fuel delivery problem rather than an air delivery problem. When you say all were O2 sensor or MAFS codes, what where the codes saying (i.e. system too rich, too lean, low voltage, heat circuit inop, etc)?

What were the specific codes? Did you reset them and test run it again to see how many came back.

i would really like to hear some updates on this issue. it basically covers the same thing i just posted about. youre talking bout a scanner. any suggestions on one that wont break the bank?
my wife took it to autozone last week to have them read the SEL code. they said it was the gas cap not tight. they clicked it a little more, cleared the code. guess what. it came back. went to pick n pull and snagged one off of another tahoe. i guess i need to have them check and clear it again. so to my point. i wont mind spending a little money on one, especially if it will serve its purpose over and over anytime. thanks ahead of time

I like my Equus 3660 (it reads OBD2 and CANBUS and ABS codes) I think the 3650 does OBD1 also but I wanted the ABS....

There are some scanners you can get that do basic code reading and clearing for around $35 used. I just bought a blue tooth scanner for I think $9 and android torque app for $5. It will read all info the computer puts out less the abs systems. I have had it 3 month's and no issues. Use it in real time mode which is cool if all you have are idiot lights

Here is the blue tooth item I purchased. It came with a disk for use with laptop, but when I scanned it, my computer kicked a problem out with it. The seller said it happens with some virus checkers, but he also provide a direct link to download. Software is for laptop functions with bluetooth.

Download the "TORQUE" app from play store. Pair up blutooth devise and your good to go.
