So the 95 is now done up in Flat Black with the roofrack removed and getting to the point that I need to consider a light conversion.

Opinions are most welcome. What do you think of these???

I'd leave your headlights stock, and just get a HID kit...IMO never been a big fan of aftermarket headlights

those projectors are junk.. save your money. they don't fit straight, aren't adjustable, and fill up with moisture.

(info is from several users on here as well as the pair i had and returned because they're POS's)

if you want them blacked out just get the covers. then you'll have reliable lights that are blacked out.

if you want HIDS the only way to go on aftermarket (gmt 400 guys are INCREDIBLY LUCKY) TYC makes LEGEL HIDS, using D1R bulbs in a correct reflector HID housing. but only for gmt 400 trucks for some reason. ITs the same color and beam paddern on modern bmws, MB's, and vertually any other car with STOCK HIDS.

PLEASE CLICK HERE

the ones that are like 140 are INCREDIBLE with halagons, upgrade to the HID system (which i see is expensive BUT SOOOOOOOOOO WORTH IT, I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THEN AND IF YOU DO YOU ABSOLUTLY MUST POST PICS), but you will be blown away at how much more light you get and how well the beam pattern is layed out.

TYC's i have had AWSOME LUCK WITH. Even better than your stocks. Plus THEIR LEGEL.

+1 on Trend's comments. Many aftermarket headlamps that I have seen available run the risk of looking too rice. OEM provides a clean appearance and look great with HID xenon. Although at first glance the lamps that Rollin Thunder provided as an example may look good as well.

I have those very same aftermarket lights... let me tell ya - the only good part about them are the corners and bumper lights - the headlights where great for a short while.. now they are dim (they are the H3 bulbs like you would put in a KC light) - and talk about Leannnn.. they are No where near straight one side hits the bottom of the grille the other hits the top.. and no way to fix it!

did you wash and wax them when ever you washed the truck. i had these on my 99 for a year and never had an issue, much brighter than stock. I have not seen the HID ones yet, except on FSC, but have personally used the halagon ones.

- Yes, but its not a problem with the lense at all - the lense is still extremly clear - its just the bulb getting dim.. every light i have ever owned with that type of bulb has always gotten dim over short periods of time.. they make upgraded bulbs for them.. however.. i just want to do something different now, so im re-doing my stock lights

I like them but finding head lights to compliment them might be hard. I've always found head lights I liked but nothing to match, or vise a versa. And it's always different once they are installed.
