So my engine gave up the ghost the other day, the temperature just went through the roof and can no longer be controlled. I believe the head is cracked or the head gasket is gone. Tge engine has over 200,000. I'm looking around for engines and I keep seeing these LS engines for a damn good price. People say there's a lot involved into swapping them into a earlier model truck. I don't want to eliminate anything that was on the truck originally when I do the swap. I need everything to be on there to pass emissions. So is this as simple as hooking everything up from the old truck in to the new one? I can get a drive by cable system eliminating the need for the newer trucks gas pedal. I also understand I need to change the fuel pump. Can somebody help me what else do I need to do. Not speculation or what you think but somebody who actually knows.
