17" wheels

I'm sure this has been addressed before but I've only seen it in regards to a 4 wheel drive Tahoe. I've got a 98 Tahoe 2 WD and I was thinking about putting some stock 17" wheels on from a new vehicle. Will they fit on my truck or is there some alteration needed?

I have the 17" wheels off of a 2010+ Silverado on my own 99 Tahoe. Same wheel/tire set up as from factory (they're dealer take offs as a matter of fact). I have no rubbing, no 4x4 problems, etc etc. Speedo is even accurate

Your 2wd tahoe is most likely 5 lug being a 5x5 bolt pattern. The new(2000 and newer) 17's are 6 lug wheels
