Hey everyone I am new here and figured this would be the best place to get some feedbacks on my question..

So Ive been looking for a tahoe hybrid and found a 2008 with 60k miles.. all is going good... about to sign papers and the dealer tells me OH ITS A MANUFACTURERS BUY BACK, A LEMON BRAND ON THE TITLE.. I dont really know a lot about it.. but he told me that the 1st owner had it till it had 15k miles and that is when GM bought it back and then someone else bought it and just now traded it in to the dealership where I am going to/or will get it from.. so the 2nd driver drove it for 45k miles and they say they did a 130 point inspection and it is all good, but you know how dealers are..

I just wanted to see what you guys think about this and if it is a good deal.. they are wanting 27.5k, (it is a hybrid, with navigation, back up cam, sun roof, rear entertainment drop down tv) that is the price we agreed to with me thinking its a clean title.. so I told them to wait till I do some research.. All the help would be really helpful!

Yea but what if all the issues were fixed? And I found out what the problem was, the crankshaft sensor had to be replaced back to back to back

Personally, I wouldn't do it either. When you have something that is consistently going wrong, especially after trying to fix it several times in a row, usually a sign of even worse things to come.

If you are financing it what does your bank think of the branded title? Have to also think about resale down the road.
