08 tahoe dash sounds

My 2008 chevy tahoe makes some light clunking sounds when the key is turned. The engine can be on or off. The radio can be on or off. The clunking continues. It's not really a steady sound, but it is pretty continuous.

I also get the electrical sounding noises that seem to come from the nav/radio system. Makes lots of noise from that area. Sounds like small electrical motors or a computer starting.

Any ideas to fix either of these crazy sounds?

I believe your issue MAY be a lack of power from weak battery. At times, if the battery isn't pushing enough voltage to the electrical systems, the systems, sensors and actuators under the dash can wind up getting "confused" and attempting to do what they need to while trying to shut off at the same time. I would take it to the local Autozone and have them test the battery and alternator to rule those out first.
