08 Tahoe Cat back

Just picked up my wife a 2008 LT3 Black,tan leather with 20's. Tinted the front two windows with 15%. Looking for a good sounding cat back system for it. I have dual 3in flowmasters on my 68 camaro so I dont want something that loud. But I love the flowmasters sound. What you guys got and hows it sound? Thanks guys, Luis.atriot:

From what I heard Flowmasters are just loud and full of drone NO OFFENSE TO FLOWMASTER OWNERS.
I have Magnaflow and love the mellow purr/rumble, perfect for a family and wife and even for the owner in the long run!

That depends on the actual muffler. Sure you can slap a Super 40 underneath that Tahoe and it will be loud and drone like anything. But a 50 Series SUV sounds very different and far more mellow.

Im looking at this kit from flowmaster. Part number 17431. Its got a 50 series muffler. What Magnaflow kit are you using?

I have a 50 series muffler best muffler out there.

I agree. Thats the route I think im gonna take. I really like the flows sound. Just hope the Mrs. will be ok with it. Better to ask for forgivness than premission.

you cant go wrong with the 50. I had the super 40 installed and drove around for about 3-4 months before it got old it was just to loud for me. the 50 has the perfect sound.
