08/09 Orders, & motor options

I understand the cutoff for 2008 orders is in a few weeks, does anyone know when you can start ordering 2009s? And has anyone determined yet whether the six speed can go behind the 5.3, or if the bigger motor will be available on non-LTZ or on 4X4? And if not available til later, then when?

Firm information on what new features and options will be with what trims, etc. will be released in a few weeks. Until then, yes, the 6-speed can and will go with the 5.3L (meant to all along, just didn't have the capacity yet). Should be on all models next year, but as before, we must wait and see for sure.

As for ordering, with the 2008 cut-off of April 1st, the order banks for 2009's should be open in mid May.

Oh wow, now I gotta think about going 2 or 3 months or ordering asap- this is gonna be tough. Thanks for the info. And wonder how much mileage would improve too... Oh man, this is tough.

i here the 6.2 is gonna find its way into the 09 models as well ,now will it be available in the 4wd models? also in your opinion do you think it will be worse on gas than the 5.3 or equal?

I'm hearing 2 or 3 mpg worse.

i hope its like the new sequoia, there new 5.8 has better fuel economy that there previous 4.7 v8
