hello everybody

newbie here from mass. just picked up a 07 tahoe ltz with nav single disc dvd and rear entertainment system. went for a drive the other night and popped in a dvd for the kids. when we stopped everything shut off like its supposed to. we got back to the truck and started it the rear dvd wouldnt show the movie from where it left off . the front did but the only wAY WE COULD GET THE REAR MOVIE PLAYER TO WORK WAS TO EJECT THE DVD AND START IT ALL OVER . THE DEALER IS GOING TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT IN THE MEAN TIME HE HAD ME HOLD THE POWER BUTTON FOR 10 SECONDS TO RESET THE PARENTAL CONTROLS . THAT DID NOTHING.. ANYONE WITH MORE INFO ... IS IT DEFECTIVE OR WHAT?

Not defective. Have your kid point to the screen in the rear with the remote and press the power button. This will turn the DVD rear screen back on.

I know, I know... it is a hassle but it is what it is!

Yep, you need the remote. On ours, simply pressing the power button on the remote while pointed at the DVD unit will restart the movie where it had stopped.
