I have purchased a new set of CDT 6.5" components to replace the factory speakers in the front. The speakers are 2 ohm and can run 150 watt RMS. I purchased a 4 ch cadence amp to power them (at 2ohm will run 125X4 RMS).

Components come with crossovers. Should I install the tweeters in the A-pillars in place of the stock? Or should I place them in the sail panel in the doors?

If I place them in the stock A-pillar location should I run new wires to the crossover or could I use the factory wires?

Does anyone know if the stock tweeters have an inline crossover or not. If they did would it be a problem to have them crossover twice? If that makes sense.

Keeping the stock HU for now. Amp will be placed in the center console. And I have purchased a LOC with a remote wire included. Rear speakers are also components bu Im really contemplating about getting some coaxials instead.

Thanks in advance!!

Ok, just finished the complete install. Ended up going with the cadence comps in the front and a set of alpine type s coaxials in the rear. The front tweeters are just spliced into the door speaker wires. Put the aftermarket tweeters in the sail panel. The amp fit perfect under the center console. The line out converter worked perfect definitely worth the money. A few pics soon.

It sounds like a bad ground somewhere. You usually run into this when installing new amps. Check your ground on your amp at both ends. Hope this helps!!
