okay guys here it goes!! check engine light came on a couple of days before it shut off!! Did not notice anything weird or different, but my mother was driving it down the highway and it just shut off. she said she heard a noise but was not able to really describe it??? The Tahoe will start and drive fine but shuts off a couple of minutes after that. I have checked all the fluids and seem fine; but would like to know if anyone had any ideas of what i might be working with before i take it to a repair shop. also said need oil change on info display

What code did it set? How many miles are on the Tahoe? Have you had any other symptoms leading up to this like rough idle or lack of power? A failing fuel pump could cause these symptoms but you really need to start with the codes that are set and go from there.

Even though the light is not on the code should still be stored, go by Advance auto parts or Autozone and ask them to scan it. This is free and will be helpful.

hey guys sorry for the delay on any info been very busy! I checked the fuel pressure and had 0 psi ???? had no pressure what so ever. I went ahead and replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, and fuel pressure regulator. I just did not want to take the chance of it shutting off while driving and having to pay another tow fee!! I replaced all three parts judging that the tahoe had 136,xxx miles. Its been a couple of days since i fixed it and is working fine!! thanks for your input of what the problem could be!!
