ok guys, im new to the site and have been having major issues with my tahoe. its a 2004 4wd 5.3 non flex fuel. hard to explain exactly what its doing but ill try my best. when i ease into the throttle in neutral it will rev to 3 grand cleanly but once it hits three grand it hits a wall completely and dies right down. if i try to put it to the floor it sits at 1500 rpms and pops and spits horribly. i have replaced the fuel pump, crankshaft sensor, plugs, wires, coolant temp sensor, and ive also sprayed with starting fluid for vaccum leaks. i havent had access to a fuel pressure guage so i wasnt able to check that. tonight i had a friend look under the vehicle to see if the cats could be glowing. he went under with an unlit cigarette and came back up telling me he lit it off the muffler and to kill it! thinking the muffler may be plugged i cut it off with a hacksaw. after removing the muffler it idled way smoother but still has the same issues. any help would be appreciated as im sick of throwing money at it. im leaning towards a bad pcm but i am by far no expert on the situation. also it throws a random misfire code, bank 1 lean code, but in the past few weeks it has thrown all different sorts of codes which is why i think it may be an erratic pcm.

so i installed new intake gaskets. im still getting a lean bank 1 code and a random misfire code. tracked it down to cylinder 7. i swapped out 3 different coils and not one of them had fire at all. thinking its something inside the coil connector wiring. also the lean code i believe is because that part of the rail and injector is plugged up.
